Lake Lavon

Today we went to Aunt Cat's and Uncle Jacob's. We got to go out on their boat. It was absolutely wonderful!!! Cat, Jacob and I wakeboarded. Cat & Jacob had wakeboarded before but for me today was my first time. I did pretty good. Got up on my 2nd try and only wiped out once. No too bad. Bri and the kids loved floating/swimming. Hunter had a blast floating while Connor preferred to sit on the platform thing and be the lifeguard. Thank you Aunt Cat & Uncle Jacob!! After we left Cat's we stopped and got gas. Sounds boring until I tell you that my car would not start. Would not even go into neutral. We called Super Pap who was about 30 minutes away. We also called AAA who said they would be there in 30 minutes also. Well dad got to us first and after about 5 times finally got the car jump started. AAA recommended that we go straight to get a battery. So we decided to go home and then Bri would go out and get a battery. On the way home we stopped at dad's left the car on. Went in and left the car on. When we came out the car was off. Super Pap to the rescue again for another jump start. Fianlly home!!!

Party & Visitors

Since my last post Nana & PopPop came down and built a huge deck-porch. We had a wonderful 60th birthday party for my dad. Mike & Maureen came down from MD for the party. We also had Clise and Mont come for dad's party which was a huge surprise for my dad. We had a great time with Nana and PopPop. Connor still thinks that Nana & PopPop are still at the airport. They are both telling knock-knock joke constantly. They are cracking each other up.

Busy days ahead

Tomorrow Nana & PopPop come!!! We are soo excited! So today we get to clean the house and mow the grass!!! Then Mike & Maureen come in on Thursday for Pap's big 60th b-day party on Saturday!!! I'll post pics next week! Time to clean toilets!! Strange...I'm actually ecited about cleaning for our visitors!!

Fun

Over the past few weeks we've had a lot of fun. We had a royal visit from Princess Makayla. While she was here she found her inner cowgirl. We took the boat out and played on the beach at Lake Holbrook. We also had Chery, Jeff and the boys over for a cookout and then had a watergun battle! And in 10 days Nana & Pop Pop will be here.

Happy 3rd Birthday Connor!

Today is Connor's 3rd birthday! Hard to believe that he's 3 already!! To celebrate we went to Aunt Catherine's and played at the pool! We had a great lunch and Aunt Catherine made cookies and put 3 candles in one for him. For his birthday Connor has gotten a Batman big wheel, Lighting McQueen Fishing rod set, Elefun,2 outfits and a kite.

The Happenings...

Well since my last post alot has happened. Hunter finished 1st grade with straight A's and perfect attendance. He also got 2 trophies. One is an apple for being principal of the day and the other is a star which he got for having the highest number of AR points (Advanced Reader) for first grade. We are so proud of him! Connor has finished pre-school and is loving having Bubba home to play with him all day. Brian's ribs are healing. Slowly but still healing. My finger has healed and I'm paying more attention to sharp objects when washing dishes!! :) Have I told you lately how wonderful my sister and brother in-law are? They are great! This weekend we went to see George Strait, Reba, Blake Shelton and LeAnn Womack in concert at the new Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. We stayed overnight at the Sheraton in Arlington. What a terrific hotel. We recommed it to anyone who wants to stay close to Six flags, Rangers Park, Cowboys Stadium and Hurricane Harbor. Cat & Jacob watched the boys over night! The concert was wonderful!!! Our seats were 35 feet from the stage. The stadium was amazing!!! Brian and I got to thinking it had been 3 YEARS since we had a night out without the boys! Thank you Aunt Catherine & Uncle Jacob for a much needed night out!!Tomorrow our baby turns 3. Hard to believe Connor is 3. We are going to go swimming at Aunt Catherine's with "Baby Kayla."
