Growing Up

Connor is growing up. We have started potty training. He is doing great!!! Here he is showing off is big boy underwear!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Our first Texas Christmas was fabulous! It's been at least 14 years since I've celebrated Christmas in person with my dad and sister. It was wonderful!! We even got to spend time with Mrs. Kim and Makayla discovered her inner cowgirl!! It's so nice to have our kids grow up together and celebrate the holidays together. Christmas eve we went to Pap and Granny's for steamed shrimp and nachos. Super tasty!!! Then we got to open presents. The kids had a blast!

After Dad's we went home and Brian read the boys "The Night Before Christmas". Then we got the cookies and milk ready for Santa. We then tucked the boys in so that Santa could come. Santa left a BB gun for Hunter along with several other toys and clothes. Santa left lots of John Deere tractors for Connor and a new black cowboy hat.









Pap and Granny came by Christmas morning and opened their gifts. Pap also went with Hunter, Darby and Brian to shoot Hunter's new BB gun. Darby also enjoyed her very first Christmas...





We then went to Aunt Catherine's house for an excellent Christmas dinner and more
presents...



Saturday we celebrated Christmas with the Brumit family. I can't tell you when I last celebrated Christmas with all my aunts,uncles, cousins and PawPaw in TX. It was great! Afterwards Cheryl and Jeff and their boys came over and we got to hang out and catch up. What a terrific holiday!!! Of course we missed our family in friends in Maryland. Mikey called from Maryland and gave us one of the best Christmas gifts ever!!! Can't wait until July or August!! We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!!

Hunter is in the local paper!!! His class wrote letters to Santa. Check his out below...

Santa fun...

Aunt Catherine and I took the boys to the Grand Christmas celebration in her development. The kids go to make Elf hats, write letters to Santa and even got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Makayla went first to sit on Santa's lap but it didn't last too long. She is a bigger Santa fan from afar. Connor went next and he was happy to sit there all day, talking Santa's ear off. Hunter went last in our group and he sat on Santa's lap. After that we all went on a horse drawn carriage ride. It was the perfect afternoon. For more pictures check out Makayla's blog.
